January 13 News Nets insider Nicholas Claxton accepted an interview with reporters today.
Asked by reporters that the Nets may enhance the team lineup through trades, which may squeeze Clarkston’s playing time, Clarkston himself said: “Don’t worry, I will regard these trade rumors as motivation.
It’s about going to play and competing on every possession.”
Clarkston then added: “Whoever we bring in, I’d welcome them in. But the players we have in the locker room right now are ready to take on any opponent in the playoffs.”
So far this season, Clarkston has played 37 games for the Nets, averaging 11.8 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.75 steals and 2.61 blocks per game, shooting 73.9% from the field.
