Cook wrote: “Happy birthday brother! Thank you for showing me the way and becoming the best brother I can ask for. I hope Dad rests in peace.”
Quinn Cook and Nolan Smith met in the training camp when Cook was 6 years old. Both of them experienced the unfortunate experience of losing their father in childhood (youth).
Both played for Duke, and a Sports Illustrated report in 2012 said Duke’s website listed Nolan Smith as Quinn Cook’s god-brother.
Quinn Cook played for the Warriors in the 2018-19 season, averaging 14.3 minutes per game in the regular season, scoring 6.9 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists; Nolan Smith was selected by the Trail Blazers with the 21st overall pick in the first round of 2011.
Played for 2 seasons, played a total of 84 games, averaging 3.3 points, 1.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 9.9 minutes per game.
