According to Woj, the Hornet is negotiating a new contract with restricted free agent striker Miles Bridges and is optimistic that it will be reached soon.
Sources said that Bridges’s case is still under investigation by the league and it is not clear how long he will face a suspension (which will take effect when the new contract comes into effect).
Bridges and his agent (belonging to Klutch Sports) have been in contact with the Hornets and are working on Bridges’s plans to work with local domestic violence and community organizations to readapt him to the Charlotte community.
If the final contract is not reached, Bridges will remain a restricted free agent.
It was previously reported that Miles Bridges, who did not plead guilty to felony charges of domestic violence in a previous court trial, will face three years’ probation without imprisonment as part of an agreement with prosecutors.
