January 15th, the Rockets are about to play back-to-back games against the Clippers and Lakers in Los Angeles.
Both Teddy and Ethan may be suspended by the league for entering the court against the Kings in violation of the rules.
Coach Silas talked about this situation in an interview.
“We practice like we know who’s going to play, we just do our thing. A lot of the practice we do, it’s not all on a game-by-game basis,” Silas said.
“It depends on where the guys are supposed to be, when they go to that spot, and also on if we’re double-teaming, it’s about the strategy of the game, and it’s also based on where you need to go when we’re attacking, which is what you need to wait for the screen.
Positions, that’s what we’re looking for. For us, some of our training isn’t all about the next game.”
“Each of us needs to know the game plan, everyone needs to be consistent on the operational side, whether these players are playing or not, we have to know how to play.” Silas said, “We have done some good things.
Work, of course, not at full speed, but there are some technical things that we’re going to use tomorrow offensively and defensively, and we have to keep that momentum going.”
The Rockets will play against the Clippers at 4:00 am tomorrow, and the game against the Lakers the day after tomorrow will start at 11:30 am.
